Über die Veranstaltung
This retreat is being given as a time to deepen and consolidate foundational meditation and mindfulness techniques. It will be heavily practice-oriented with minimal teaching beyond the guided practice instructions given at the start of each of the practice blocks. With instruction and time spent in dedicated practice, we gain a deeper familiarity with these techniques, which then informs our future aspirations for practice, our regular practice outside of retreat, and our lives directly.
Meditation can be understood as a way of calming, observing, purifying, and cultivating positive qualities of our own mind. With this groundwork laid down, we gain insight into the nature of our minds – inherently clear, luminous, and free. It is through direct experience that we come to a place of understanding of what is to be cultivated, what is to be let go of, and who we are beyond these conceptions. We are able to…
